27 May 2017 Open Rehearsal

Hello~!!

We are having our next Open Rehearsal on 27 May 2017, 7pm at Toa Payoh Central Community Center!

We had some trying outs and fun in our last Open Rehearsal in April. We'd love to have you and new friends with us for this rehearsal.

We will continue to do a little bit of teaching of short forms in Playback Theatre in the first half of the session followed by sharing our stories and improvising together.

Come and explore Playback Theatre, and have a chance to practise the different roles like the musician, the actor or the storyteller!

Playback Rhapsody Sessions (April 1st, 2017) is Tapestry's new initiative, in addition to our ticketed performances, Open Rehearsals, and Training Workshops.

This is a platform for community-building through the sharing of stories. It is also a valuable opportunity for our team to build skills and chemistry, particularly for members (old and new) who want to practice new roles.

With our ticketed performances moving towards socially-relevant themes, Playback Rhapsody Sessions will take on a lighter flavour, with the first one titled "Fools R Us!".

Hello folks!

After mapping out our plans (and many HTHTs) for this new year at our annual retreat, we're back refreshed and all pumped up -- to host you at our very first Playback Rhapsody Series! And--not kidding-- we're planning our first in this series on April's Fool itself!

Come share stories related to all the silly things we do, be it fun pranks, crazy misunderstandings, whether you were the pranker or the pranked, or you just being a fool for love... Come and release your inner Silly with us on 01 April!

"Get into the Act!" - Our last performance of 2016

"Get Into The Act!" was an event organized by Singapore International Foundation to celebrate International Volunteer Day, and show appreciation to all SIF volunteers.

We were invited to perform at The Arts House for our last public performance of 2016.

So many wonderful stories of sacrifice, of love, of work in vulnerable communities, and of inspiration and courage!

We look forward to 2017, our 15th year doing Playback Theatre, honouring personal stories, and serving communities!
