Who's Next Door? A collaboraton with Singapore Kindness Movement

What kind of neighbourhood do we want to live in? What kind of neighbours do we become? What kind of society do we want to build? All these depend on you.

This year, we are using a form of unique improvisation called Playback Theatre, to help us create conversations around the issue of neighbourliness.

We want to hear your stories of ugly or wonderful neighbours. We want to know about the beautiful and unpleasant incidents that happened in your estate. We want to know what you feel about these incidents. And we want to learn from what you share.

What stories do you have to share about where you live? How can we encourage one another to take an interest in, care for, and support the people around us?

Who is next door? That is one of the key questions of community building. And the answer depends on you.

Playback Rhapsody Sessions (April 1st, 2017) is Tapestry's new initiative, in addition to our ticketed performances, Open Rehearsals, and Training Workshops.

This is a platform for community-building through the sharing of stories. It is also a valuable opportunity for our team to build skills and chemistry, particularly for members (old and new) who want to practice new roles.

With our ticketed performances moving towards socially-relevant themes, Playback Rhapsody Sessions will take on a lighter flavour, with the first one titled "Fools R Us!".

Join us at our community engagement event "Playback Rhapsody Sessions #1 - Fools R Us"!

Hello folks!

After mapping out our plans (and many HTHTs) for this new year at our annual retreat, we're back refreshed and all pumped up -- to host you at our very first Playback Rhapsody Series! And--not kidding-- we're planning our first in this series on April's Fool itself!

Come share stories related to all the silly things we do, be it fun pranks, crazy misunderstandings, whether you were the pranker or the pranked, or you just being a fool for love... Come and release your inner Silly with us on 01 April!

So see ya on 01 April, 7pm at Toa Payoh Central Community Club, Dance Studio level 2 (Opposite the library @ 93 Toa Payoh Central Singapore 319194).

Thank you for coming to our Open Rehearsal last Saturday! We began our session with getting to know each other (through our footwear!) and followed that by by exploring the traditional pairs form. Then we came together to share and playback stories for each other. Thank you for your stories. And thank you for sharing this "theatre of neighbours" that we love so much. See you next month!
