Photo Review of Tapestry in 2012 (3)

Welcome to part 3 of our photo review!

As the year is drawing to an end, we thought we'd look back and celebrate the many moments of our 10th year! A great big thank you to all who have connected with us in ways big and small. We look forward to meeting old friends and new in 2013!

March 15 - We performed at the Singapore American School for a group of students. No pictures available but here's one of us in practice from 2011! We reprised a theme from 2011 - Home is where the Heart is. — with Renee Chua,Anne ChuaElaine Tham and Wendy Toh.

March 23 - Tapestry performed a show at TTSH Auditorium for social workers, patients, family of patients, doctors and nurses from TTSH.

Here's the team waiting backstage! It was great to perform for such a meaningful event. We loved the stories shared and we hoped we did them justice.

Have a Blessed New Year! Come back here again to see new photos!

Playback uses various dramatic forms and styles, with elements of movement, text, music and cloth.

At its heart, playback serves the community by building connections and facilitating dialogue.

The Sesame Approach

The Sesame Approach is founded by the UK Drama and Movement Therapy Pioneer, Marian R. Lindkvist in 1964. This therapy approach is based upon Jungian Analytical Psychology, with the integration of myth and story, drama,Laban dance and movement, physical touch and use of voice.

This is an oblique approach using symbols and metaphor to achieve expression and internal dialogue with the unconscious, so to accomplish psychological growth and therapy.

The 3-hr sampler workshop is not a full course, but it will give you the opportunity to experience and explore the Sesame Approach. You will be participating in drama and movement activities like improvisation, dance and role play that allow participants to self-explore and experience this approach in a safe, relaxing and natural environment.
